We Brave the Heat to Rebuild Pooley MTB Trails Feature

At Community Ride Project CIC, we’re passionate about more than just getting people out riding. We’re committed to protecting and improving the trails that bring our community together.

This week we teamed up with Pooley MTB Club once again to volunteer our time rebuilding one of the bike park’s well-used features after it had reached the end of its life.

Working in temperatures of around 35°C certainly wasn’t the easiest of conditions, but thanks to a fantastic team effort we stripped the booter back, rebuilt it using new treated timber, and had everything completed in good time. Most importantly, the feature has now been reopened and is ready for riders of all ages and abilities to enjoy once again.

Projects like this don’t just benefit local riders. They help create a safer, more enjoyable space for the wider mountain biking community, encouraging people to get outdoors, stay active, build confidence and connect with others through cycling.

We’re incredibly proud to work alongside Pooley MTB Club and the amazing volunteers who continue to invest their time and energy into keeping these trails alive. Community projects only succeed because people care enough to get involved.

If you’d like to support projects like this, you can make a donation through our website.

Every penny goes directly back into supporting Community Ride Project CIC and the work we do. Better still, you can choose exactly where your donation is focused, whether that’s trail improvements, community rides, women’s confidence sessions, youth activities, bike access, or another area that’s close to your heart.

Together, we can continue creating welcoming places to ride, learn and enjoy the outdoors for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who volunteers, donates and supports what we do. We couldn’t do it without you.
